How can i spice up this blanket?

I have a green fleece blanket. i just bought it and i need to add something to it because its too bland. Its going to be part of a christmas present for a teenager boy. He likes skateboarding a lot and so i was thinking to spice it up with a checkered print, or graffiti or something. Green is his favorite color along with orange... Anybody have any good ideas?
