Do Those Yelling "Socialism" Know what It is or WHO is forcing it on them?

The notion of more - not less - corporate involvement in our electoral process is scary indeed, and the Republican Party money-raisers are already gearing up for the "big bucks."Obey has been working on campaign finance reform since the Nixon years, and he just introduced the "Let the People Decide Clean Campaign Act" in the House of Representatives. Obey said, "Corporations have never been people. They don't vote [yet], they don't get drafted, they don't get jury duty, didn't sign the Constitution - heck, some of them hardly even pay taxes in the United States! But the Supreme Court seems to think they should be free to spend unlimited money on political advertising with almost no accountability whatsoever."It's a fact that one of the largest stockholders in Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. (Fox News and the Wall Street Journal) is billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Murdoch himself just acquired U.S. citizenship in 1985 to allow him to purchase many American television stations. Anyone who thinks that Murdoch's News Corp. will not take an active role in our elections hasn't been paying attention. Do we really want a Saudi oil prince and an Australian press baron to determine who gets the big campaign dollars (you can sign a petition and become a citizen co-sponsor of Obey's bill online) a href="http://fightingbob.com/article.cfm?articleID=1130" rel="nofollow"http://fightingbob.com/article.cfm?artic…/a
