Boy problem [really confused] please help?

for the past few weeks or so i was kinda 'seeing' this boy. we werent exclusive but we would kiss & talk every day. then i find out that hes been tryna get wit this other girl too, i wasnt mad or anything because we werent exclusive but i went up 2 him and asked him about it and he got a lil mad and told me that he only talked to the girl like once and that i was gettin mad for no reason. i knew it was bullshit but decided to just brush it off. later on in the day i see them walkin together then i got mad because he lied 2 my face. so i confronted him again but i guses he knew what i was gonna say and he just walked away from me. yesterday he told 1 of my friends that he didnt even like me like that but he did feel bad about the whole situation nd shoulda told me himself. thing i dont get is why would he even waste his time on me and kiss me everyday for the past few weeks. then i thought maybe he didnt like me cuz i confronted him wit no right because we werent exclusive. idk man...?
