How can I find a way to be with my older boyfriend?

I'm 17 and I live in California. I met a guy online who is 24, almost 25 and we instantly clicked so he came to visit me a month later all the way from Florida. I know there's laws against statutory in both of our states, but I was wondering if there was some way I could make it so it's not illegal for us to be together. My whole family is okay with it, but I know they can't undermine the law. His mom isn't crazy about him seeing me since I'm underaged. There has to be SOMETHING I can do other than become a legal resident of another state or to wait until I'm 18. Please help!
