Are there sharks in Sydney's waters?

This may seem stupid, but lol when i think of Australia the first pictures that come in my mind are countless of sharks, snakes, kangaroos and spiders(i watch a lot of planet doentaries!) and im really worried if really Sydney has sharks.. cos ive seen pictures of there and those waters would be nightmare for me if i lived there.. lol thanks anyway ^^
